Mel Gibson was recently praised for his progress by a California judge following his arrest for DUI on July 26, 2006. His lawyer Blair Berk presented documents showing the 51-year-old Gibson was meeting terms of his three-year probation. Gibson was sentenced to three years probation, a 90 day alcohol abuse program and 12 months of Alcoholic Anonymous meetings.
The actor/director is scheduled to appear in court for a further hearing on February 15.
